Pill Regatta

The Regatta will be run from Sailing Club at the mouth of Crockerne Pill (harbour) on Saturday the 17th of June 2023
The timings of the Regatta are based around the tides on the River Avon.
This year the band will be kicking off the main proceedings of the Regatta with a performance at 3pm at Pump Square (outside the Sailing Club)
The Regatta is one of many annual celebrations in the village of Pill, and consists of a number of rowing races in traditional style pulling boats, harking back to the heydays of the village as a major maritime centre, when the village supplied a host of skilled maritime services.
The Bristol Channel Pilot Cutters which are still reknowed around the world for their sailing ability were based in the creek at Pill.
Work hard and play hard, the sail based maritime industry using the villages services once supported 22 pubs
